ESSENCE SERIES: LOWER BODY RECOVERY

The course balances functional recovery with improvisation and sensory awareness.

Using patterns that turn soft mobility & conditioning into deeper embodiment and self learning. A renewed relationship with the moving self.

Inspired by Zen, Movement Archery highlights the value of practice as a way to improve one's presence within one's own body.

Combining meditation, dance, acrobatics, philosophy, conditioning and martial arts. It is a practice of creativity. Moving to rediscover the self, its potential and its interaction with the world.

We turn discipline into a creative tool and the body into a canvas for personal expression.

MOVEMENT ARCHERY

by TOM WEKLSER & ROSER TUTUSAUS

To understand embodiment, creativity, and skill development, we must first recognize the fundamental relationships that shape all movement. These five relations form the foundation through which we develop both the art and craft of conscious movement.

THE FIVE RELATIONS

At the center of Movement Archery lies the understanding that we exist in perpetual relationships with ourselves and our environment.  We study movement through and by these relations, recognizing that to move consciously is to engage in constant conversation,

with gravity, ground, space, others, and the ever-changing landscape of the material within.

the relationship with gravity
the relationship the space
the person
the relationship with the other
the relationship with the ground
the relationship with the self
