GUIDED IMPROVISATION

This course begins from a simple and powerful truth; Movement practice can’t rely only on moves, it also needs IMPROVISATION to grow. When all the movement we practice is known and controlled how can we ever learn something new? How can we ever go outside of our comfort zone?

This course is our intention to share our improvisation practice and provide you with a powerful method for creativity in an accessible and concise format.

These 3 sessions revolve around creative principles: balance, imagination, articulation, mobility, clarity, posture. This course is guided by Roser who has a vast experience in guiding improvisations to professionals and non professionals alike. The unique approach in these sessions is in providing a ‘wholesome’ improvisation experience, one that is relevant both for the complete beginner as well as those who already have some experience with this practice.

EXPERIENCE THE PRACTICE

FREQUENTLY ASKED

IS THIS FOR ME?

Anyone with a human body who is interested to deepen their study of movement and themselves. This warm up has been taught live to movers from 18 and up to 70 years old with great success. The results were always interesting and inspiring, from dancers who found that their ability to improvise has expanded, elders who benefitted from improved balance and connection with the floor, athletes who enjoyed the centering and improved focus and movement teachers who incorporated principles and ideas into their own work. Just like we say in our live work, 'the only prerequisite is interest'. If it's there this course is designed to be accessible and challenging at the same time.

DO I NEED ANY EQUIPMENT?

The object and subject of this course is your body and mind. The work will need nothing more than attention, concentration, patience and a bit of floor space to move.
